Staff Application

Staff Application

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in Camp Wekeela. We’re looking for leaders to join us for next summer to make a difference in a child’s life next summer.

Working at Camp Wekeela is one of the most challenging yet rewarding jobs you will ever have. As a staff member we put trust in you to look after our parent’s most prized possession, their children!

General qualifications for staff are as follows:

  1. Former Wekeela campers (L.I.T/J.C. Program completed), college students, those with college degrees, or other qualified professionals.
  2. Each staff member should be skilled and qualified to teach in one or more of the areas listed on the enclosed application form or have appropriate skill and qualifications for a non-activity area (health center, maintenance, or other support).  Experience in early childhood education, past camping experience. or other work with children is important. Enthusiasm, adaptability, and a willingness to “pitch in” no matter what the task is essential.

Dates for employment will be discussed during your interview.  Typically the camp season for staff is 9 weeks. With exception of the first and last week of camp (not Staff Training), staff will have about 4-5 full days off and several nights off during the summer. For further consideration please complete the following online application. We look forward to hearing from you.

Kindest regards,

The Caflun Family
