There's so much we can do in water, on it, under it, near it. Closest to us is Little Bear Pond, sister lake to Big Bear - right next door through a connecting channel. Little Bear is way big enough for our fleet of sailboats, sailboards, funyaks, canoes, rowboats, & rafts. Our white sand beach on Little Bear Pond is a popular spot for gathering, sunning, or just plain relaxing. It's where we all assemble for waterfront activities. We have cribs for swimming, with professional lane lines for our competitive swimmers (& Visiting Coach Kathy Lawlor), and we have docks for boating, including our 4 powerful high speed tournament water ski boats. While we're on the subject, everyone skis at Wekeela who wants to. As in all activity areas, watersports offer full instruction, including S.C.U.B.A certification for campers who qualify.

The water has always given us an excuse to pursue more quiet pursuits. To read, reflect, to think, perhaps to dream. As much fun as we have at Wekeela we also think you should have time to your-self, so you can absorb all the activity that goes on all the time at camp. In the end, the water is kind of a second home to many at Wekeela. We invite you to join us in discovering the many ways that the water is a major part of what makes Wekeela an excellent place to be.
