Dates and Arrival Times To Camp Staff arrival dates/times are determined by specialty areas. Please refer to your staff package regarding specifics. We expect all staff to arrive between designated hours on specific dates. Directions to camp by car For those traveling to camp by car, we have enclosed a card in your staff package with directions from Portland, Maine and points south, and from points north and west. Please refer to a map to arrive at one of those locations and follow our directions on to camp. If you plan to drive and are looking for passengers, give us a call and we'll try to hook you up with another staff member. Conversely, if you'd like to be a passenger, let us know and we'll see what we can do. Those of you flying to camp Make your flight reservations to fly into Portland Jetport or Boston Logan Airport to arrive prior to the times below. We will provide shuttle service to camp from Portland at 5:00pm and from Boston at 3:00pm. If a Wekeela staff member is not curbside when you arrive, call the camp office collect (1-207-224-7878). We urge you to book your flight as soon as possible. While there is excellent air service to both airports, seats are at a premium at this time of year. When arranging your return flight, keep in mind that our camp shuttle will arrive at Portland Jetport at 2:30PM and at Boston Logan at 4:30pm the day after campers depart. Those of you taking the bus from New York City The most economical means of getting to camp is by bus from New York City. Greyhound Bus Lines, from Port Authority Terminal, has a coach that leaves in the morning and arrives mid-afternoon in Portland or Lewiston, Maine. If you travel by bus, we expect you to notify us when you arrive. Feel free to call collect to the camp office (1-207-224-7878) to advise of your arrival time which bus station we can meet you.
