spectacular Southern Maine gives you the opportunity to explore a world of choices. We offer a unique four, six or eight-week option for kids and teens aged six to sixteen. Our modern facilities and wide range of
activities allow for fun in watersports, landsports, performing and

Eric Scoblionko has owned and directed Wekeela since 1981. He has an extensive background in education, business leadership and community involvement. Eric graduated from Mercersburg Academy and the
University of Pennsylvania (1976), cum laude, with a B.A. degree in History and M.S. in education. He taught at the Metairie Park Country Day School in New Orleans and subsequently returned to Philadelphia to work in the Development Department of the University of Pennsylvania.
Eric has four children, Seth, Arielle, Ben and Jonathan. The Scoblionkos are active members of the American Camping Association.
Bottom line, our staff have the most energy, the most fun, and the most experience. At Camp Wekeela we choose our staff very carefully, we know that our staff play a vital component in the success of our summers.

Assistant Camp Director, Ephram A. Caflun, has been with Camp Wekeela since 1997. Ephram works very closely with the staff and is very proud of the people who dedicate themselves to making a difference in the lives of children.
Ephram holds a B.S. in Psychology from S.U.N.Y. - Oneonta and a Masters in Social Work from Yeshiva University. He has overseen successful teen travel camp programs, served as a Youth Advisor, and facilitated focus groups. According to Ephram, "working with children is extremely rewarding."
Ephram is also involved with the American Camping Association as a volunteer. Ephram is an ACA Accreditation Standards Visitor, was on the ACA Tri-State Residents Camp Committee, and was a speaker at both the 2001 ACA Tri-State Camping Conference and at the 2002 ACA National Conference.
During the off season, Ephram is also involved with the prestigious Ridgewood, New Jersey Board Of Education. Ephram is a volunteer coach for The Ridgewood Soccer Association and Ridgewood Baseball Association, Ridgewood Dad's Night, Producer & Script Chairman, Temple Beth Or, Youth Commitee Chairperson.
When it comes to the perfect setting for a great summer camping experience, all roads lead to Maine - but only one Maine road leads to Camp Wekeela. The core of our camp mission, is teaching children the skills of making and keeping friends while building self-esteem and self-confidence. My family and I hope to see you at Wekeela!
