Birthdays
All birthdays will be celebrated at camp. Our celebrations include announcements, group songs, birthday surprises, and cabin parties. You also may want to plan this as a call day by contacting us in advance.
Items Left Behind at Camp
If we find a lost item, we will make every attempt to identify its owner. Once traced, we will mail or ship the item back home after camp closes in August. Any items that are not marked with camper identification and cannot be traced will be donated to charity.
Camper Photographs and Yearbooks
Prior to leaving camp, each child will receive
a framed professional photograph with their bunkmates. Also, in the fall
we will mail your camper a personal copy of Camp Wekeela yearbook "The Legacy." We
consider both of these steps part of the Camp Wekeela experience, and
therefore, offer them at no extra charge.
Honor Code Violations
Campers out of cabins after lights-out may result in campers being asked to leave camp Parents are encouraged to review this policy with their campers. No refunds will be made for dismissal.
Drug and Alcohol Policy
We will not tolerate drugs, alcohol, nor cigarettes at Camp Wekeela. Any camper who abuses these substances or brings them to camp will be dismissed immediately. The offender's parents will be notified and asked to make immediate arrangements for travel home. There will be no refund for this type of dismissal.
Cameras
Campers are encouraged to bring their own cameras and a supply of film. Campers interested in photography courses will need a supply of black and white film which will be developed in class. In addition, while the camp provides video cameras for use, some campers may prefer to bring their own. All cameras and video equipment should be clearly labelled.
Camp Wekeela assumes no responsibility for loss or theft.
