Camp Wekeela draws campers from as many as 19 states and 10 foreign countries so we pay great attention to travel details. To assist you, we will mail travel forms to you in March. Please return these forms to our Winter Camp Office by April 1.

The camp's official travel agency Is En Route Travel in Columbus, Ohio. You can reach them at (614) 457-7200 or (800) 860-7200.

If your travel plans change after April 1, confirm these changes with our Travel Coordinator by phone and fax. It is imperative that we have clear confirmation of both travel "to" and "from" camp.

When you complete the travel form, you should specify, for both arrival and departure, one of the following:

A. Pick-up or Drop-off by car:
If you choose to bring your child by car, plan to arrive on your designated start date (either June 27, July 11, or July 25), at 1 p.m. Follow the signs to the camp office to check-in. A counselor will be ready to help your child move into his or her bunk.

To depart, (on either July 24, August 7, or August 21), arrive at the camp office at 9 a.m. Your child will meet you at the office.

B. Air arrivals into Boston, Massachusetts, or Portland, Maine:
To meet campers arriving by airplane, provide us with complete airline information, including the airline name, flight number and arrival/departure times. Bus fares are $85.00 each way, and must be paid when travel forms are returned April 1.

Our Wekeela Representatives will arrive at the gate wearing a Wekeela T-shirt. We also ask that your child wear his/her Wekeela T-shirt, helping us to quickly and clearly identify him/her. After arrival, our representatives will escort your child to the baggage area and then to the camp bus. All campers will be transported back to Camp Wekeela by bus, giving your child a head start on meeting some new summer friends. We strongly recommend all campers carry $25 travel cash and a sack lunch. We will have lunch for them as well, but as you know, kids get hungry and we dont want the campers wandering around concession stands at airports.

Baggage
Limited storage space prevents us from accepting baggage shipped in advance of camp. If you have extenuating circumstances that require shipment of baggage to camp, please notify the camp office in advance to coordinate appropriate arrangements. Arrangements to ship baggage home at the end of camp require advance notice to the camp office and an advance payment of $50.00 per bag.
